Hey all, I'm new here but I've been lurking around for a couple weeks now reading and such. Learning about other peoples' struggles and what they go through. Nice to know I'm not alone in feeling unique or outcast-ish.

I've been diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, and Tourettes and although I've never been medically diagnosed with autism, I fit the bill quite well. A family member "diagnosed" me with it plus I've done a little reading on it myself. I feel like everything I say or do is part of being on the autistic spectrum. Makes life a blast :P

But aside from that, as far as hobbies go, I'm extremely into martial arts (Muay Thai/Boran is what I'm currently learning) and also martial arts tricking which takes the kicks from Tae Kwon Do, flips from gymnastics, and other fancy stunts from things and puts them all into one physical artform. But because of current difficulties I've had to temporarily stop martial arts tricking.

I also make electronic dance music also known as Trance (anyone familiar with DJ Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Electrodia, or Juventa?).

Really recently I decided to get into singing which has also been a great challenge for me (mentally grasping the techniques and such).

Pretty much my main things right there aside from gaming and a few other things. But anyway, everyone seems really nice here from what I've read the past 2 weeks, so I'm lookin' forward to being around.

Sounds interesting.
I listen to Josh Wink / Winx (his older stuff) quite a lot (listening to it at this moment too). Don't know if you know his music?

Will you share some of your music with us in the Music forum here on WP?
I'd be interested to hear it.

Anyway, enjoy your stay on the Wrong Planet!

Welcome, RTCZ. Look forward to hearing more about your musical endeavors (also musician, percussion/voice/composition, last electronic project was tech-hop) and about your experiences.

Thanks for all the welcomes, guys ^_^

Scientist, I've never heard of Winx, but I'll be sure to check out his work momentarily. Yes, I'll also be sure to share some of my own things in the future!

Edit: Josh Wink has some nice work! It's a little slow for me, but other than that I'm lovin' it ^_^

I wonder which of his work you checked out, because I noticed his new cd was slow indeed and I was disappointed on this one, but I play his older stuff a lot: (Josh) Wink - Are You There... (1996; EP) and Winx - Left Above The Clouds (1996; Album), featuring "You Are The One", "Don't Laugh", "Verano Azul", "Hypnotizin' ", "Higher State Of Consciousness", which I think are great, and these tracks are not so slow, maybe you will like it too, if you didn't check them out yet.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to hearing your stuff! ;)

Hi RaizTheGrace,

Welcome to the Planet. Many moons ago I was doing some martial arts myself, I did it more for self confidence than for the for anything else. I am fare sided and slow so that didn't realy help.

Scientist, it was the song Higher State of Consciousness, the name caught my eye so I went with it. I will also check out the other songs, I'm always looking for something great and unique to listen to. ^_^

Oisin, no rudeness intended but it's Craze XD Not Grace.

Martial Arts does also give you a great amount of confidence in a non-egotistical sort of way. Especially when you start to develop the power, technique and overall feel for the style you're doing. If you've ever seen the movie Ong-Bak with Tony Jaa, that's the movie that inspired me to do Muay Thai. Tony does some of the most amazing stunts and fight scenes ever! (He does all his own stunts). Also, power and speed come from a lot of training and practice because I originally started out extremely slow and I've made great strides (no intentions of bragging at all). I'd always watch movies or videos and my mind would be boggled as to how everyone moved so fast and accurately.
