I've been kicked out of 2 stores thus far. At 17 I was not formally kicked out but by the looks on their faces I could tell they didn't want me to take any more nacho samples.

I was also kicked out of the Store of Knowledge at 11 because there were a bucket of nail puzzles and I solved them second by second, taking them all apart without even having to think about it. By the time they told me to leave, most of them were apart. I started to put them back together but they said forget it. I was allowed back the next day however.

Hmm, well, I guess you learned from the experiences, at least! Free samples are one to a customer (they should post a sign, really), and if you play with a toy in a store, you play with one, once, and for only a short time. I guess it's just a matter of learning all the little subtle rules that people expect you to know.

I've never been thrown out of a store. I usually throw myself out because I can only take being in one for so long. :)

Nonsense.

I love the free samples at the grocery store meat counter. I post up shop in front of the tray and just eat them until someone comes up and helps me, it definitely gets their attention faster than the alternative

Think of the poor meat department people, though. They are going to have to get out all the picky little sample containers and cut all the picky little bits of food all over again, when they just did it a little while ago. It makes extra work for them, and they could well be very busy.

Yeah LOL. It was hard to resist myself when the dip was so delicious. I saw they were somewhat agitated at the time but I kept eating on until they told me that I had far too many.

As for the puzzles, at the time I never got why they would leave so many puzzles in the open yet expect no one to attempt solving them.

If I were them I'd consider it a welcome break to go in the back and play with some knives or the fancy meat slicer thing, and not have to deal with customers for five minutes or however long it takes.

If we were to flip-flop places, they would be doing me a favor by feasting excessively on the samples.

I was kicked out of a supermarket at 10. I was a weeny 4ft select mute wanting to look at toys and the manager told me to leave. So I found my mum and latched onto the trolly she was pushing.
It was a traumatic experience for me and when ever I see that guys photo I glare at it.

I have never been kicked out. Wait, one store man kicked my whole family out when we were in Canada because we were touching things. He was a jerk and my dad filed a complaint against him. We were just looking around and the man was frowning at us and I pick up a shirt and unfold it and then put it back and the man asks me "Are you getting it?" I say "I don't know" and he said "Well I don't need this" and he folds the shirt the correct way and puts it back. Then we left and my brothers were scared we were going to get yelled at again but this cashier over heard my brother asking "Are they going to yell at us?" so she asked us if we were just in that one store and my parents said yeah we were and the cashier was sympathetic and said other people have had issues with him and their business had been suffering because people don't want to stay and shop in the plaza. So my dad filed a complaint against that person. This was back in 1998.

When I was a teen, my brother and I got kicked out of supermarkets on an almost daily basis. It was great fun.

You WOULD have to bring that up. Senior year high school. Venu, a used book store in Milwaukee that is now [I am glad to say though I had nohing to do with it] defunct. I was simply browsing. Others were browsing. One woman was giving the manager a hard time about some question.

Manager comes over and asks me to leave. I was doing nothing, I did not look like part of a gang, I was not out of place. He was not closing. I left. I did not / do not understand. I have resented him ever since.

A few bookstiores will occasionally express the wish that you might someday buy something, but generally a used book store anywhere in the world underastandsa and welcomes btrowsers, and they have had quite enough of my disposable income.

I have never been expelled for any expressed or understood cause.

I was kicked out of a local bookstore here too, because unfortunately I spilled coffee on a shelf of books. I offered restitution to the owner, but he didn't care about money for the books, he just wanted me to leave. The bookstore has a small coffee shop as part of the store.

Since the store has changed oweners, I started patronizing them again years later. I have more disposable income than I did back then, and have bought hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of books from this store.

No. I never spend a large amount of time in stores anyway so haven't had many opportunities to get kicked out. I'm also not one to browse. I get what I need and get out because I hate being run into by little kids and having to walk behind really slow people with shopping trolleys.
