I believe I have mild aspergers and some people think I have too *little* anxiety. Except about certain subjects.

Being an alien on a planet full of hostiles tends to breed anxiety and depression. I can't imagine how one could live with any form of ASD and not suffer from frequent or even near constant anxiety and depression. If one is 100% anxiety-free, then one probably doesn't have a 'disorder'. Or is so blissfully insane that they aren't aware there's anything wrong. :D

Far, far, far too much anxiety. A lot of the time it is unneccessary as well, but I just can't stop it!

only because i can't properly cope with the outside world. anxiety about having enough $$$ to pay the bills due to an inability to easily make more $$$ and an inability to handle more $$$. anxiety about iffy health. anxiety about "missing the boat" over and over, or anxiety about failing at life. anxiety about becoming homeless yet again. anxiety about anxiety, for christ's sake.

I've come to accept that I just can't do as much as other people. That's why I have a mindless job. If I had a high pressure job working 50-60 hours a week I would disintegrate right away. If I work more than 6 hours a day I'm worthless for the rest of the day. I used to work 10 hour bar shifts and at the end I would start drinking because I would be ready to start screaming and throwing things. Anxiety and low grade depression are my constant companions. The only way I know how to deal with it is to minimize my stress level as much as possible.

I have severe anxiety; it's almost constant. I also cannot work long shifts or more than four days a week without difficulty. Also, for some reason, if I'm working the evening shift instead of the morning shift, I'm in a constant state of anxiety all day and night, and I might as well not even having the morning off for the way it overtakes my day.

I need to get back on medication for anxiety because I drink instead, but I don't drink at all when I'm on anti-anxiety meds, other than occasional beer or wine tasting.

I once called a suicide hotline because I was "suicidally anxious." I wasn't at all depressed; I quite liked my life, yet I felt like I wanted to die rather than feel that level of anxiety. Not "felt like I was going to die" in the panic attack sense, but that I would prefer to be dead instead of having the thoughts, feelings and tension I was experiencing. Which I knew was irrational; that's why I called.

Anxiety about change, anxiety around crowds, a little social anxiety.
When I was a kid I was so oblivious that I was different that I had no anxiety, or at least very little anxiety.

I don't feel it as much like I used to because I am not in situations that cause it. I try and avoid it. I have also learned to control it so I am now able to work full time and block out my feelings so I am not having it.

Anxiety and aspergers go together like peanut butter and jelly unfortunately.

I've always been subject to anxiety, absolutely. At the moment, I'm going through a rough spell with it because my three year old son is having rough mornings waking up (reluctance to wake up, lots of screaming, etc), An hour of that getting out the door being late (I have missed my normal time commuter bus every day for the past week because of it) and it takes me most of the day to really settle down and not feel anxious.

I used to be very anxious, about, well, everything. That has changed as I got older. Not so anxious anymore, unless of course I am in an overstimulated environment.
