This forum is an opportunity for new members to post and share about themselves. My thanks to roguetech for inspiring the idea for this thread - a place for our new and existing member to post links to their personal blogs and websites! This way, we have a centralized place to go and find out about our fellow travelers along the ASD spectrum - so feel free to contribute, just please keep all links SFW and appropriate for an all-ages support forum.

For ASD-related forums, websites, resources and other links, please post them here: ASD Resource Registry

My blog: http://growingupaspie.blogspot.com/

I've just begun it, there's lots more to follow. I start with one of my first vivid memories - going to Church to meet God. (When Mom said Church was "God's house", I took it absolutely literally.) I'm going to write about growing up Aspie, and there were a lot of complicating factors. Firstly, Dr. Asperger's work had not been re-discovered while I was in school so no diagnosis could be made. Second, I suffered quite brutal maternal child abuse, both physical and emotional. That will be detailed on the blog. Third, I suffered severe bullying and ostracism by my "peers". It could be a painful read for many, with or without Asperger's. The few entries I have in now are about when I was almost four, went to Church to meet God, was bemused/confused by what I found which conflicted with my mother's statements, and trying to get to sleep that night beset by trying to make sense of what I had learned earlier and being terrified by visual hallucinations in the dark brought on by night terrors.

I'm really glad I found this place. I actually thought I was on the wrong planet and some mistake had been made while I was growing up. I actually would stomp "UFO's LAND HERE" in the snow around my house with arrows pointing to where they should land, exactly. I wanted to hitch a ride home. (Decades later, the Calvin & Hobbes comic would show something similar and I would collapse laughing.)

I would appreciate any feedback or input to my blog.

I'm amazed when I read things like "I cannot stand other people chewing." I thought it was just me!

Probably the best place to check me out is in my DA page in my sig. I tend to keep a regular journal there for now. I've had others but I lost interest in them.

I write for two blogs, one on personal development called Personal Success Factors http://www.personal-success-factors.com, and another one focused on Aspergers ( http://www.myaspergers.net ) The second one serves as a way for me to continue researching and understanding everything related to Aspergers. I have a family member on the autism spectrum, and I count on forums and my reading to help educate me about Aspergers continuously.

My blog is on my 2E Child (Asperger's / Profoundly Gifted). I have been said to be an Aspie lite. Please visit to not only learn of him, but of the parenting and therapy that has been so successful. I am sure you will be able to relate to many things said in the blog.
