Congress passed a new law that every fast food place has to show how many calories you are eating. Mcdonalds is probily going down!

I don't think so. A lot of fast food giants already have nutrition information available; so I don't think it will hurt McDonald's too much.

that makes me chuckle, as those that care don't eat at McDonald's already.

That kind of bullsh%t legislation is a waste of time and it's none of the government's business to begin with.

Duh, if you're nutritionally conscious why are you in Micky D's, Taco Hell, Booger King, or any other fast food joint in the first place?

Are they going to have the Ministry of Health SWAT team raid any non-conforming establishments?

Quote:
WASHINGTON—Tucked neatly inside the health reform legislation is language that will require calorie labeling on chain restaurant menus, menu boards, and drive-through displays, as well as on vending machines. The legislation applies to chains with 20 or more outlets, and requires them to provide additional nutrition information on request.

Similar measures are already in effect or are awaiting implementation in California, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Oregon, New York City, Philadelphia, and a dozen other localities. The federal standard will supersede the varied state and local requirements.

I eat there, anyways. Food is food.

like that really matters. plus, you have to buy the food before you can see the calories. it's on the box, after all. hasn't stopped anyone from purchasing Cheetos ®.

I'm also guilty of eating at McDonalds every now and then. If I prefer to eat healthily one day, I'll eat at Subway.

I thought they already did that. I've seen big posters at McDonald's (and other fast food places) that have the nutrition information of everything they sell there.

Actually, a friend of mine ate at Subway three times (each at a different location), and has gotten food poisoning from all three.

I've noticed that many fast food chains have full nutrition facts listed, either on a wall or on place mats. I don't think they're going down anytime soon. It's an inflexible demand at this point, at least somewhat.

Pretty soon eating a Big Mac in public will be a crime. They want to ban smoking, drinking, religion...what next!? It's like these freaks' goals are to make us all into mindless drones. They stop at nothing to attempt to achieve that. I know this is a little off topic....but this is what's been on my mind. That being said, more nutritional information won't make a dent in McDonalds' business. People who eat their don't give a rat's ass how healthy the food is anyways.

People like Rotten Ronnie's, I doubt they really care if its unhealthy, there is nothing wrong eating there occasionally, just do
it in moderation, they aren't the worst fast food places, Cluck n Chucks and Taco Smell have a dismally unhealthy menu.
