How many completed or uncompleted writing works do you have? Or are you yet to aspire.

Please explain and also please mention what theme you specialise in writing such as sci-fi, fantasy, bibliographies etc.

I specialise in romance and drama, adult or adolescent, I have about 170 stories or thereabouts, most incomplete only 1 or 2 are complete.

I used to write Bionicle fanfics... never finished any of the full-length stories. I did have success with a series of ~5 short stories on the subject; they served as glimpses of different areas of a city being slowly torn apart without anyone knowing. I plan to write a respectable scifi novel someday.

I wrote and completed a number of stories when I was younger. I don't know where they are now and I have no interest in having them published.

I'd like to write more stories, because I have so many story ideas stacked in my head, but I can never seem to take the initiative to do so.

In my early to mid-adolescence I spent a lot of time writing, mostly fan fiction. I completed two novella-lengths and maybe eight or nine short stories on my own steam (I don't include stuff that I wrote for English or creative writing classes, though I recall two stories that I was particularly proud of). I struggled to write decent poetry and in the end came up with two or three poems that I didn't immediately throw away. There's also a mountain of stuff that I never finished, usually stories that were ambitious in scope and length; together with what I completed, I suppose I may sneak into the 29-49 range. These days, I wouldn't show anything I did complete to anyone; it would be too embarrassing for me, given how glaring and obvious to me the flaws were (in fairness, my readers often saw the flaws too).

After a few years, I did feel that I had learned a lot of lessons. I'd go so far as to say that when I was around the age of sixteen I felt that I had learned more or less everything I needed to learn from the amateur writing circles I had frequented. At that point, I had finished the first chapter of another fan fiction. I was very satisfied with my own abilities at that point, and the aforementioned first chapter was praised without many reservations (again, in the amateur writing circles I had frequented). I'd almost show it to people now without feeling embarrassed.

But at that point, my discipline for writing vanished and I never wrote anything again. In retrospect it seems like I was fiercely competitive and thrived on the desire to prove myself to everyone, and once I thought I was as good as anyone else that desire vanished and I was finished as a writer.

I haven't ruled out coming back to writing more in the future, though there's always the question of whether I would (or could) make the time. I imagine that whatever I'd write would be a psychodrama with some surreal touches; that'd be playing roughly within my comfort zone.

I'm currently writing a hard sci-fi novelette with ~11,500 words so far. Almost four years ago I finished one sci-fi short story with ~7,500 words.

I have a collection of about 170 short stories I have yet to really publish. I'm thinking Mister Cameron might not want me to use some names.

I've lost count. I have one finished novel I'm trying to throw at agents and publishers, and starting work on another now.

I have written a sci-fi novella (bad), a book of poetry (bad), a dozen short stories, twenty or so short film scripts, five TV pilots, seven feature scripts. Screenplays are my thing.

I have written and finished one novel and five short stories. I am writting another novel (sequel of the finished one).
My genres of predilection are Sci-Fi, supernatural, dystopia and war. Most of my writtings are a combination of those genres.

I've recently gotten back into writing. At the moment I've written a short story, a few poems and I've also started an uncompleted novel. I don't focus on a particular genre at the moment I just write whatever comes into my head. :)

I write horror :)
I usually do short stories, though I did write a pretty long story in 7th grade about a werewolf living in Dijon just before the crusades. That one was a little over 80 pages, and I never finished it...
I have several "in the works" things, though the only one I still like and come back to is about a woman living alone in a house in the woods. I have no idea what's wrong with her, but she has symptoms of BPD, schizophrenia, panic disorder, and a few other things. There's no plot, though, so I'm never going to "finish" it. It's just something I come back to when I feel like having some fun. (I love writing about crazy people haha.)
I sometimes try to write happy things, and I can write happy vignettes, but anything that has a plot has to be horror. Either about the clinically insane, or gore/monsters.

EDIT: If anyone wants to read a (very short) story about a wendigo, click here.
If anyone wants to read a (n also very short) story about a werewolf, click here.
(and by very short, I mean they're literally only 2-3 pages double spaced. those links are condensed, so they appear even shorter, so don't worry about being dragged into a long commitment type read.)

I've written about revolutionary movements (Paris May 1968), Harry Potter fan fiction, a story about children in remedial class (basically an autobiography), some fantasy stories, person with AS x2532653.
I think I have about 10 incomplete stories. And one story I've started and completely changed so I'm starting again.
My problem is my ideas change so much. I get bored or stuck and never come back to it.

My brother recommends I write short stories but I don't like that style.

I'm writing a very multilayered, psychological sci-fi novel. There is a seperate thread which I have created for its discussion.

The Redesigning Eva thread
