I bet on Mr. Spock from Star Trek: Oryiginal series, and Lt. Malcolm Reed from Star Trek: Enterprise.
What do you think about that? :-)

Everyone on Vulcan is an Aspie. What a great place. I wish I could live there. They are my kind of people even though their ears are pointy and their blood is greenish.

Romulans would then be those aspies who are in a constant state of 'meltdown/emotional storming (yeah, I couldnt come up with a real comparison, whatever

I remember watching an episode of voyager when I was little in which a woman tries to form an emotional relationship with a Vulcan, which of course is not reciprocated. Through the episode, they showed flashbacks of the Vulcan's training in controlling his emotions. I was about 5 or 6 at the time and did not understand the point of the episode. My parents tried to explain that they were showing that the suppression of emotion was not really a good thing. I just kinda nodded my head at the time and pretended I understood, when I honestly thought the Vulcan way made more sense.

[correction: Looked up the episode. I was actually 9 when it was on.]

I very like Commander Tucker and T'Pol.
But my favorite was Lt. Reed behaved some time like aspie avoid other crewman and prefer formal relationship.
Of all the crew members with him I was the easiest to identify and he is allergic like me:-)

I saw that episode too as a child, though there was no one around at the time to explain the "moral" of the episode. I also remember thinking how great it would be to grow up like a Vulcan.

My nickname in junior high was 'Spock.' There's a large element of fantasy in watching ST for me; it would be wonderful if there were a whole culture where everyone was less emotional and more direct.

Indeed. As are the Borg (the Collective) - modeled upon us. Star Trek copied. I've been teased (often in not nice way) of being 7 of 9 ish. But the Star Trek link to our kind is very real.

Not really. The Borg folk have no sense of self. Aspies and I imagine Auties have a feeling of self to some degree.

What shall I add to this thread, given that my nickname on just about any forum I go is always sarek.

Charlie from the Original Series episode Charlie X was a little aspie, but I guess it stems from him growing up without Humans.

I was thinking about this the other day. Most of the characters seem to be a bit aspie-ish. Ensign Kim and Lt Barclay come to mind.

Perfect choice. Live long & prosper, sarek.

The Lab Pet has, in sum total, 4 emotions (but they run deep). Emotions are over-rated. Logic prevails.

< not revealed in the new DSM V: Asperger's Syndrome individuals actually do have green blood >
.....that's our little secret.

musicboxforever: Yes, and '7 of 9' is overtly Aspie-ish.
