I am a 15 year old male, and if you check my other posts you will know the troubles i have in my life at the moment.
Something which really bothers me and makes me sad is that i can no longer just relax or be layed back as since im growing up
i need to concentrate on school for my future work. when i was younger i felt alot more relaxed and still did all my work at school etc.
but i wasnt really presured into getting good marks etc. i was alot more relaxed and when i came home from school i was no longer
at school but now i cant get it off my head.
when i was younger i didnt care as much and didnt need to care.
all this causes alot of stress for me.

Learn what benefits from being stressful, like making deadlines and keeping promises and such.

Learn what benefits from relaxing your mind, like hobbies and maybe a school club with a common interest.

then learn how to keep the two sides in balance. It will be a technique that will help you the rest of your life. I know it helps mine. :D

Talk with your guidance counselor at school and ask him or her to help you to prepare a good academic schedule that will help you get into a good college...your education is the key to your future success. Work hard at your school studies but, remember to schedule some downtime for "fun."

In addition, join extracurricular activities that interest you... even if you are afraid of social interactions. Everybody is afraid in new situations but, over time, you will become less afraid and may just find that one 'true" friend that will remain a friend for life. Do some VOLUNTEER work in your community...at an animal shelter, playground, hospital, etc as these kinds of activities look good on a college application and future job applications as well.

Use your time productively.

Best of luck to you!

Personally I've never had this issue. I've breezed through school and relax a lot of the time. This makes working a bit harder but like I said I breeze through. You've just gotta find something you really enjoy and once in a while forget about school. My habit is to forget about school while in school but sadly this is out of my control. I have focusing issues.

I had the same problem about a year ago and decided that instead of concentrating on things that I hate that I would concentrate on the thing I enjoy. I dont know if that helps but...

Use the stress to our own advantage. If I stress out about the time I need to wake up, I wake up at the exact time I need to. Not sure if every Aspie does this too though.
