not sure if it would be related, but songs in particular that would get to me much in the same way those listed have to you, these songs would have to be.

(Artist first, song name second)
In Flames - Come Clarity (pretty much explains me , and its a fairly light song, seems more alt-rock-ish in a way compared to their usual melo-death stuff)
Tool - Vicarious (quite a few of the lines in it can ring true for me)
Dream Theater - Constant motion (it is a song about OCD, but it could also fit us who have both AS and ADHD/ADD)
Godsmack - Serenity
KoRN - Freak on a Leash
Iron Maiden - Different World
Nirvana - Drain You
Metallica - The Struggle Within
Killswitch Engage - My Curse (pretty much how I view my case of AS comorbid with ADHD and Depression)
Disturbed - Facade (Its what I have to bother with when trying to function normally with society)
Bullet for my Valentine - All these things I hate (Revolve around me) (I am my most hated thing in this world)
Dark Tranquility - Lost to Apathy
My Chemical Romance - I'm Not OK (I promise)
Disturbed - Perfect insanity
Blink 182 - All the small things
Lacuna Coil - Self Deception
System of a Down - Lonely Day

I would have to say "Take Me Home" by Phil Collins. He's has stated that the song lyrics refer to a patient in a mental institution.

Take that look of worry/I'm an ordinary man
They don't tell me nothing/so I find out all I can
There's a fire that's been burning/right outside my door
I can't see but I feel it/and it helps to keep me warm
So I, I don't mind/No I, I don't mind
Seems so long I've been waiting/Still don't know what for
There's no point escaping/I don't worry any more
I can't come out to find you/I don't like to go outside
They can turn off my feelings/like they're turning off the light
But I, I don't mind/No I, I don't mind
So take, take me home/Cause I don't remember
Take, take me home, 'cause I don't remember
I've been a prisoner all my life/And I can say to you
Take that look of worry/Mine's an ordinary life
Working when it's daylight/Sleeping when it's night
I've got no far horizons/I don't wish upon a star
They don't think that I listen/Oh, but I know who they are
And I, I don't mind/No I, I don't mind
So take, take me home/Cause I don't remember

This is an old one but it's a nice song

In My Room-Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys

There's a world where I can go
and tell my secrets to
In my room
In my room

In this world I lock out
all my worries and my fears
In my room
In my room

Do my dreaming and my scheming lie awake and pray
Do my crying and my sighing laugh at yesterday

Now it's dark and I'm alone
but I won't be afraid
In my room
In my room

He actually didn't leave his room for quite a long time. I don't know the specifics.

The Gathering- Marooned

I know I'm from a lesser tribe
I suppose the range of my intelligence
is way too wide

And you don't see me
'cause I don't have much to say

My emotional outlet
is consuming the better part of me
And apart from the wrong words
a tortured cry is making me see

That you don't see me
'cause I don't have much to say

Hours and hours of jealousy
are passing me by
Although hollow silence
is the only wave
going through your brain

And you don't see me
'cause I don't have much to say

"How Soon is Now" by the smiths

I am the son
and the heir
of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
of nothing in particular

You shut your mouth
how can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
just like everybody else does

I am the son
and the heir
of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and the heir
of nothing in particular

You shut your mouth
how can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
just like everybody else does

There's a club if you'd like to go
you could meet somebody who really loves you
so you go, and you stand on your own
and you leave on your own
and you go home, and you cry
and you want to die

When you say it's gonna happen "now"
well, when exactly do you mean?
see I've already waited too long
and all my hope is gone

You shut your mouth
how can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
just like everybody else does

Tool was already mentioned, but there's a lot in there that rings familiar. It often seems that men on the spectrum from ASDs through ADHD often end up in relationships with very emotionally intense and difficult women, which is a lot of what Tool seems to be about. The lyrics and music are also highly structured and repetitive, with a lot of numerology at play, there is often a very phenomenological bent to the way images and symbols are presented (much like in the literary works of Orwell or Joyce), and the spirituality strikes me as very Einsteinian. And let's not forget that Maynard feels most comfortable singing from the back of the stage, and often rocks back and forth while performing.

I was recently listening to the Sisters of Mercy and hearing a lot of AS as well. Andrew Eldritch definitely has a powerful auditory memory, judging from the lengthy rants in many of the songs, he's known to be impossible to get along with, and if there's such a thing as singing in monotone then he sure does it with gusto. "Vision Thing" seems to be a song about synesthesia or sensory overload, colors and numbers are features much as they are in tool, and Andrew performs in sunglasses and constantly looks to his side between lines of lyrics.

Ian Curtis from Joy Division was epileptic and known for dancing about on stage in a very strange and jerky way. Despite the deep honesty and emotion in his music, he seemed to have been very cold and shut off in his personal life, which is compellingly depicted in the film Control.

Gary Numan is also known to have AS, but I've never been a fan.

I'm pretty sure everyone who writes IDM or breakcore has to be at least a little autistic. Take a look at Richard D. James of Aphex Twin if you're not sure what I mean.

You guys can also check out some of my music online. NTs tend to hate it because they can't keep track of all the different sounds and rhythms, but I've gotten positive reviews from the ASD and ADHD crowd. Heightened auditory processing may be a requirement for enjoying it. www.virb.com/compressionfracture

I'd never heard Beautiful before, but I looked it up just now and I can see where you're coming from with that one. I'm liking it actually.

As for Drop The World, I like the line that goes "Hop up in my spaceship and leave Earth, ... I’m gone", and the first verse can also describe some of the negative things.

Ah you beat me to it!

I'm surprised no one's mentioned "solitary shell" by dream theater. That song is supposed to be about autism/AS!

Also the song "you got aspergers kid" by mc frontalot, bit of an obvious choice isn't it really.

Edit: getting away with murder by papa roach. It reminds me of when the teachers used to patronise me at school and would let me off for everything because of the info on my IEP. And I didn't like it.

When I heard this song (or part of it) on Happy Feet, I identified with it. I used to spend a lot of time in my room when I was younger.
Now I sprend most of the time at the computer! :D
