I apologize if this has been done before. What weird things do all you Weird Planeteers Collect? I collect Feather Quill, Dip, and fountain pens. I also collect the inks, and parchment style papers that often go with these items. I also collect the sealing wax, seals, and other accesories. So, in a simple way of saying it, I collect Elizabethan and Victorian style writing instruments and accessories, as well as modern office supplies. That is just the tip of the iceberg other than my music stuff and things. So let me know what ya collect. (i am sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum)

Where do you get those? Those sound like the sort of things I'd like to collect. :)

I do not really collect anything in particular, but I do tend to accumulate "wierd things" I find. For example, I used to have a large rock I called a dinosaur egg because of its size and shape, and I still have one that looks like a potatoe. In my own case, I think I am still looking for "buried treasure" like I did when I was young.

I think I like you, random person :lol:
I gather and keep books, strange pens, (feathery light up boxing pens etc.) odd things I find, (sparkly rocks, electronic fragments), unnecessary anxieties, and decorative stamps. My largest collections are books and found objects.

My first post. I dont particularly collect anything that I would call weird right now. In Kindergarten, I collected sticks (which was funny because half the class started to after seeing me do it every day [it actually upset me cause they were taking all the good ones]). In first grade and throughout elementary school, I collected many rocks and semi-precious gems. Both of those I've abandoned. Now I collect foreign coins, which I keep in a treasure chest I bought at an art supplies and decor store. The second thing I collect is bottled soda (glass), along with dozens of types of bottle caps. I have 36 varieties of soda at this moment.

I collect fountain pens (and vintage pencils) too! My favorite pen is probably my Parker Vacumatic but I like all of mine.

@Descartes

You can usually pick up the collectible fountain pens from websites like www.fountainpenhospital.com, and I usually get my parchment, feather quill pens, inks, sealing wax, seals, and ink pads from www.nostalgicimpressions.com. The cost of a lot of these may be kind of up there in price, but they are well worth it to have not only for the aesthetic value, but for their durability and use as an everyday writing instrument. There is one style from the 1930's (that originally started in about 1909-1919) that is called the EverSharpe (or something like that). Talk about pricy but well worth it. The pen andpencil sets are amazing. I don't have any of those because I am having to restart my collection, but I am looking forward to buying more. I bought a journal from "nostalgicimpressions.com" that is over thirteen inches high, nine inches across and; the cover is hand stitched, high quality, Genuine Italian Leather. That journal was the most expensive thing with writing that I have bought in the past three years at 195.00 (U.S.). Davidoff, Armani, and other companies also make some killer fountain pens. If you want to know more, all you really have to do is a google search on the items you are looking for. You can even find tips on how to make your own feather pens (preferably goose or turkey feather for best results). OUT

I collect old, often out of print books (currently have my eyes set on a 1905 print of "The Wandering Jew"), as well as occult jewelry. I also collect shiny things.
