Although I find poetry interesting to read sometimes, I find it very confining to attempt to write in it. The issue of having to maintain rythim and rhymes is particularly challenging, all the while attempting to convey the message I want. It's hard trying to put the two together and make it work. I envy those that are capable of doing this! For me, I just stick with prose writing. I will sit down at the keyboard and just start typing whatever comes to my mind.
It is not always notable of Poetry to rhyme. If you learn how to write verses, then you will learn to rhyme.
Please accept my advice, as I used to be a terrible writer
