Do you have a hard time writing poems?

I may be the only one who writes poems with ease, but I just want to see how other people are. I once wrote a poem called "A Mirror with No Reflection" it was put in an anthology at school, and another one my librarian said she would charish it because I gave it to her.

How do you feel about writing poems?

Although I find poetry interesting to read sometimes, I find it very confining to attempt to write in it. The issue of having to maintain rythim and rhymes is particularly challenging, all the while attempting to convey the message I want. It's hard trying to put the two together and make it work. I envy those that are capable of doing this! For me, I just stick with prose writing. I will sit down at the keyboard and just start typing whatever comes to my mind.

I like reading peotry but I have difficulty with it myself, I have done it though in the past and the last time I did was about 4 years ago for my then boyfriend basically telling him he was special. He liked it but that doesn't mean to say it was good
