Hello, im a 20-something year old male.

I learned i've aspergers syndrome a few months back from a doctor, I was forced against my free will by a
widowed parent who wanted me to make an SSI claim during the time of my visit.

And I've been kinda upset for months about it since then.

Im even worrying I'll be legally labled "incompetent." or "danger to others & self" or worse "mentally ill".

I mean, I dont want to get a to bad start at this forum, and i've read & understood the site rules, And im
kinda had this bothering me for months and since I've noticed this site, I didnt know if i wanted to join or not...Because I even admit that I didnt want anything to do with anyone autistic whatsoever.

And im even worried this will get in the way of things I want to do in life.

But again, Hello and thank your for allowing a site like this to exist.

Hey Lucas Crouch. Welcome to WP.

Hang in there - it sounds like you have a lot of mental sorting out you need to do. This is a big deal for you and you'll find sympathetic people here, I think.

AS alone shouldn't cause you to be labeled incompetent, dangerous or mentally ill. Besides, you don't have to disclose it to anyone. There are plenty of people here who choose not to. And I think that of the people here, there are lots who if you met in rl, you might not know were autistic.

Thank you, but im also worried that this will get in the way of some goals (including legal "privilages"), But I will discuss those later in other posts/discussions, But I also wanted to mention that my interests are

Sonic the hedgehog series,
Video games,
Computers,
Online mmorpgs,
Survival/Military history & stuff,
Guns,
Drawing,
Weightlifting,
Certain martial arts,(Soon to be practicing),
Emergency alert systems,

I also wanted to mention i've a HSD with a latin honor, a job corps job certification & I also somewhat have hopes for college.

Thanks for your time again, I feel only A tiny bit relieved.
