Do you think one, the other, or both
should be made into a movie?

If so, name your reasons why.

Despite studios trying to make the "Where's Waldo?" books
into a movie for some time, I am siding with CSD.

Reasons:

1.} CSD is cooler

2.} Just as well-traveled as Waldo

3.} Any actress can rock the red trenchcoat & hat look

4.} CSD would probably "hook-up" with Waldo,
but not in that context, and steal Waldo's magic traveling stick

What say you?

Here is a link, apparently "Where's Waldo?"
will be made into a movie first, as of a year ago.

Who do you think should play Waldo?

Wo ist Carmen San Diego in der Weld oder Wo ist Waldo... Jaja, both I enjoyed very much as a little one. I recall having a CSD computer game that I always used to enjoy. They did make an Inspector Gadget movie, and I often used to watch the Carmen San Diego tv show along with Inspector Gadget, so I see more logic in a CSD movie. But then again, Waldo has a stripy shirt, and a walking stick. There's nothing more awesome than seeing a man in a striped shirt doing battle against a bunch of ninja, demons, soldiers, or something with a walking stick of power. And the hat! It must have some untold power.

I think they ought to combine the two, with Waldo and Carmen working together to stay hidden after stealing the original Stars and Stripes from the Smithsonian... :)

I think Tim Burton should direct the Waldo movie with Tobey Maguire or James McAvoy as Waldo.

As for the CSD movie, someone from out of nowhere should
be cast in a fashion no one thought of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man.

Carmen San Diego is somewhere in the world. While the world is big, I have no clue where Waldo hides in any of those pictures. I think Waldo wins on this one.

Oh, wait. You want to make one into a move? CSD all the way because we could have a spy adventure easily and there is more backstory. Waldo just hides in books and you find him. There's not too much else. Imagine sitting in a movie theater and they show giant "Where's Waldo?" images and patrons try to find him. They could show it in 3-D!

I suggested something similar to this on Facebook, and people thought I was stoned

I say get the talents of J. Michael Stracynski, Larry DiTillio, Steven Moffat, and Dean Stefan to write it, with voicework by Maurice LaMarche, Rob Paulsen, Tara Strong, June Foray, Frank Welker, & Tim Curry, and you've got instant gold.

Waldo is actually called Wally here in Australia, fun little fact, apparently the original name was Wally, but his name was latter changed for different regions. He is known as Waldo in Canada and United States, known as Wally in about 10 other countries including United Kingdom (illustrator was British) and multiple others including a Valli and a Willy.

As for Carmen San Diego, I am not familliar the franchise, I have only heard it in passing references on the internet.

I'm down for a Waldo movie. He's a time traveller who can blend into history's most chaotic events. I'd enjoy watching him on his journey to find all his missing books & scrolls.

That is all.
