I do like Both but i really like most of the older stuff then i do when they play on the radio. Like Now days i do like Matalica and Linkin Park also i like Some of the Hip hop songs from the 80's and the 90's and some of the earlly 2000s

I like some rap, but I mainly like rock. I will agree...the older rap is definitely better than the new, overplayed s**t that you hear on the radio all the time

Yeah, the old school rap is much better than the crap that exists now. As for rock, I love Metal, but I'm not that big a fan of other kinds of rock. Punk and alternative, for the most part, put me to sleep.

I'm never sure what I'd necessarily like more because I could suddenly find a figurative goldmine some place where I wasn't expecting it. I used to think I didn't care for death metal all that much until I heard Gorguts, Portal, and Mitochondrion, for instance.

That said, rock music seems to be this much bigger and broader entity, with a longer history, and there are certain genres where I enjoy all the classics whereas there are many classic rap artists I don't care about much.

is analogous to

babies crying, rap, ..., rock.

I'll admit some early rap is not that bad, but the modern stuff is just a complete waste of the audio spectrum.
