I've been wondering for a while, what would the world look like if 99,7% of the people were aspie? I'm not talking about doing a genocide but if things had hapened that way.

Would the world be different? Would people be honest and thoughtful?

I'm sure many of you wondered this. Me, I'm not enough familiar with the AS yet.
I wondered if some of you who know much more would tell me about their opinion.

(Sorry if I make mistakes, english isn't my language)

There still be bullies and liars and criminals judgmental people, idiots, because I have seen all that in aspies because we are no different nor better than NTs so yeah that would all still exist because we're human.

Yes, all of those exist among Aspies and they would just fill in gaps left behind.

I see, so an obsession for what is right and true is not a sign of aspie, right?

So I suppose the world would be different... just not the way I imagine it.

We would be the NTs (since we would be 99% of the population and thus typical) and the current NTs would have some sort of diagnosis of what was wrong with them. In other words, that cliche of "The more things change, the more things stay the same" would apply.

Yes.

As these are two of the very central traits, to my mind, the answer would again be yes.

Lying seems to be easy, for most people. I find it impossible. I do come across aspies lying, but they can't (won't?) sustain the lie.

As to thoughtful... see here.

True... in the scenario suggested, the term "neurotypical" would become less useful. Currently, I read it to mean "having a large proportion of one's brain wired up to subconsciously provide instant, often flawed, solutions to common social situations of the Stone Age".

I think it'd be orderly chaos, compared to the chaotic order we have now.

Back a few centuries ago, if 99% of people had AS I'd worry that the species would have died out. Nowadays, if AS was the majority I think (hope) that the government would be run more efficiently (due to lying oil loving george bush types not making it to higher offices) and there would more advancements in Aspie-friendly fields.

HaHaHa! I think I actually had Bush in mind when I though about an honest AS governement instead of a person who do what it takes to win.

Thanks to Barack, this is no longer a problem... I think

I think life wool be way different. I think double talk and fine print would never have been. Black and white. You offer something you give it at the price and as what you offered. You say you stand for fixing the school systems you will.

You mean that's how it is or that's how it should be?

Well, I suspect the world of high fashion and tabloid magazines would suddenly be experiencing a cash flow problem.

How it is. :? Elections nowadays are complete popularity contests. Sad but true. Many actually tend to vote according to family tradition. The whole family votes democrat you vote democrat and vise versa.
