I recently won a PSP by registering to a new eBay-like site, and by doing this I was entered into a prize draw and I won a PSP! I have received it and it is one from Japan (but it works fine over here in the UK).

There is a difference which I think is only for the Japannese PSPs. On the main menu it says 'O - Confirm, X - Cancel'. However I have seen in an English manual which has the two functions wapped around. (ie. 'X - Confirm, O - Cancel')

That's awesome! The fact that its Japanese makes it even better. My apartment mate is Japanese. He's in Japan right now. His laptop has a Japanese Keyboard.

I bet due to the vast number of characters in the Japanese alphabet, it would need a lot of keys! Or are they buttons that you hold (like Shift) to get a different set of characters?

I thought you might like this picture

Winning stuff is awesome. I won a coffee the other day and nearly crapped myself with excitement.

Ya the confirm/cancel buttons being different is also on the PS1 and 2s from Japan compared to the rest of the world. I heard a reason for it but can't remember it. Congrats on winning the PSP though!

I highly suggest you pick up Valkyrie Profile : Lenneth. It's a remake of an excellent PS1 game and I think it remains one of the greatest games ever made. It's just beautiful.
