We as Aspies tend to say the wrong thing so I just thought I'd ask on here about what I said. My friend put on FB "worst day ever ever ever!! !" I commented why etc. and then texted her she said it's personal nothing serious. I replied "If you need to talk I'm here for you call my cell or FB me email etc. She said good to know thank girl. (Was the whole "I'm here for support if you need it) an ok thing to say to my friend? If she's having friend/boyfriend issues if she needs to I want to help in anyway I can. Is that wrong of me? I'm not going to put anyone down just Hey what happen etc. want to talk etc. :-) So I think I did ok. Not sure.

You've done well. Anything more would probably be blowing it out of proportions. You've sent the right message to her but whether or not she confides her problem to you is her choice. It could have been as well that her post on fb was aimed at some particular person or group.

Seems completely ok and 'normal' to me. Don't people perceive that as an essential part of friendship?

It was probably a bad idea to basically confront her about why things are going badly in a public place like Facebook.

I think you did right and although she might not ask you for help on that she knows you're prepared to help and that's a good thing imo.

Ya you did the right thing. I tell that all the time to my girlfriend right now...mainly because I love her but I've told her no matter what I'll always be there for her, and even if she doesn't want to talk to me about her problems that's fine too.

Looks OK to me. Doesn't look like you made too much of it (which might make the other person feel invaded) but you said enough to make it clear that you're there for her if she needs you. It's not always easy to strike the right balance but you seem tp have done it fine here.

If it's private she shouldn't have posted it. You're almost guaranteed to get reactions.

You still didn't do anything wrong. You were curtious in offering help, she happened not to need it in this situation, you apologised. No harm done.
