I am only 24 years old, but sometimes I feel like I am too weird and abnormal to find a soul mate. I think I might have to find an Aspie, but what if he annoys me just as much as I annoy myself? Who else here is lonely, and has plenty of things to fill the void in your mind (obsessions) but not a real man/woman?

I worry that we may never be together.

Yes I felt like this, that is till suddenly I met the girl of my dreams. Yes it took a depressingly long time, but I now have found that special person. I hope you have similar luck to me, really I do.

If you have plenty of things to fill the void, then quit worrying about what you don't have.

Soulmates
can be lost.

As can souls themselves.

Be careful what you wish for.

I think that only a very small fraction of the world ever truly finds their soul mate anyway. Yes many people are married but usually not to someone they love. They'll just marry them for financial purposes or whatnot and the people who do find love fall out of it eventually.

I wouldnt worry so much about it. Plus you're quite young so you'll have your whole life time as it is.

Only all the time. I'm not even looking for a "soul mate" either, just someone who is well enough matched to me that we could be partnered.

This.

Television and movies and romance novels and the like really sell it well, don't they?

Pretty much, I even have my motto on my Facebook page " I'm too strange to date people. "

I've felt that way for years. No one's ever gonna put a saddle on this bronco.
