How did you get your autism?

This may seem like a silly question but some people believe they got their autism from vaccines or traumatic birth or ear infections or other sicknesses.

I can remember a member here saying she got her autism from going through traumatic birth and I have seen a couple aspies on other forums saying they got their AS from being vaccinated (which I don't buy) and my mom thinks I got my AS from having fevers and ear infections so I voted ear infections.

The ear infections! Why didn't I think of it before?

I was born with it.

I sneezed, and no one was around to say "bless you", so the evil autism demons entered through my nose and possessed me.

I was either born with it,
or I got it from the lead paint printed on M&M's.

A birth with a oxygen lack is probably not helping the matter either...
but I think it was the thunder storm that struck the area when I was born.

(and something about family...)

I suffered from oxygen loss when I was born too, it was pretty short though.

At least part of it is probably genetic. Part of it likely comes from my mother being pregnant with me in Chicago. I probably got exposed to lots of heavy metals and polution.

I got it from my parents, just like I got my my eyes, my hair color, my eye color, etc. And just like Sissy got her coat pattern. From her parents, not mine, though.

I put that I was born with it.

Just as likely though, space aliens abducted me and put a micro-chip in my brain. When they come back anyone who hasn't been tagged with this micro-chip isn't going to be happy. Then we'll see who's on the "Wrong Planet".
