Does anybody here place bets, or have placed bets on sport markets before?

Or even if it isn't on sports markets does anybody bet in other ways ie on the stock exchange, casino, or play poker?

Nope. I like to think I'm too smart to give away a sure thing for a likely return of nothing.

Thats fair enough. :D

I guess it depends on how much knowledge and research you put behind it. The more (accurate) research, and skill you develop the smaller the chances of returning with nothing.

Personally im not a big fan of casinos, a) because im not great at cards, and b) things like fruit machines are just to "random" and there is to much emphasis on luck - unless of course you have a really good eye, and can see where it will land even when it's spinning!

I'm happy to hear it, for your sake - I've known several people who have succumbed to addiction to those stupid video slots and lost everything they own, including their jobs, and even ended up being arrested for stealing from family and employers to feed those damned slot machines. I feel lucky to be immune to that, but I've seen those things turn reasonably intelligent adults into gibbering idiots many times now. Its every bit as bad as Meth.

Casinos attract morons like porch lights attract moths. I wouldn't be caught dead in one.

Gambling is one vice towards which I have never felt the slightest temptation, for much the same reasons as mentioned above. Could this actually be an Aspie trait?

i play poker online and occasionally down at the bowling alley. i love it! it can be quite the thrill..

it's not unacceptable to wear sunglasses inside, or a long visor hat, or even a hood. and talking less gives you an advantage over the chatty players.

if you're the keanu reeves type, the kind that refrains from facial expressions and body language altogether, surely nobody would ever be able to call your bluff or high hand.

many of us aspies are very skilled in math, and can tell the odds of winning a hand very well right off the bat.

and money. lets be real they might as well rename it cashburgers

Hello everyone, my name is David and I'm from Portugal. I moved here from the Netherlands. I really liked the casino there and like it now. And when I moved to live in another country, I had some problems. I still like the casino, but I don't know where to play. In my search, I found different reviews. I trust such reviews, but still want to ask if anyone can help me. You know, I have friends with autism who play poker well and lead normal lives. I want to say that some play even better than me. My brother, who also has mild autism, also plays with us and is doing well. So, on their behalf and on my own behalf, I want to say that gambling is not bad, but only if you evaluate them as entertainment.
