Pictures of where we live and come from

After Tequila's thread on the Members Only forum with pictures from Preston, I decided to set this thread aside for posting or linking to pictures of where we live and come from.

I've been lucky to find an online gazetteer of Scotland which has pages (linked to in this thread) with lots of pics each, for each place. These pics seem to give an excellent feel for each place.

This is the town where I currently live.

These and these are some - well, loads - of pics from Edinburgh where I lived from 1992 until 2003.

Pictures of the area I originally come from and some of the places I lived in that area, are here, here, here and here.

As a teenager (and a little bit before then) I lived in and around this town.

I don't live in Preston, actually (I live in a small town of 8,000 people which is about ten minutes drive away) but I hope it interested some anyway, although I appreciate that some of the pictures were rather wonky. If enough people appreciate my efforts to bring them Lancashire I may put some more stuff up in the next few weeks.

Regarding photography on WrongPlanet: I feel a better way to do it would be to have a forum or a sub-forum specially set aside for the discussion of cameras, camcorders and photography.

How about it alex? What do others here think?
