[Photos] North West Air Ambulance

At about 12:10pm this afternoon I heard a loud helicopter noise overhead in the small Lancashire town where I live. After a few minutes it landed on the next street across from us, which is an industrial estate. The North West Air Ambulance (http://www.northwestairambulance.com/), a charity-run service covering the ceremonial counties of Cheshire, Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside was called out because a worker from one of the factories nearby cut his arm open an inch deep. The man was eventually taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Anyway, the air ambulance landed and enclosed below are some of the pictures I took. If anyone would like a higher-quality version of one of the images please PM me with your e-mail address and I shall be more than happy to send a full-size copy.

i saw the title of the thread and thought hey ill just see if that is north west ENGLAND.. and yeah!!
i live next door to you in Cumbria!!

I'm in Longridge, about fifteen minutes from Preston. It is situated in the extreme southwest of the Ribble Valley area and is in central Lancashire.

Whereabouts are you in Cumbria?

For my legions of adoring fans (if only!): I'll be doing more Lancashire towns later on this week.
