Thanks. but does that mean the people you know are crazy? Have they ever been put in a psych ward. Considering I have a good memory and if I'm not wrong/mistaken this will have been the 3rd time I've been threatened with this!! !! ! I've been threatened to be killed by my mother and threatened to be kicked out of the house on more than one occasion for sure!

Kicking tires topic

Many NTs have yelled at the car when it malfunctions. :P

I just bought two small wall pictures from goodwill. One is a picture of a squirrel and one is a pic of two rabbits. Both are lithographed drawings by someone named Paul Whitney Hunter. They are so cute and I have said so to them. :D

Good point! NT's do this stuff when there car malfunctions. (I know some go as far as to swear at the car/item) I didn't even go that far GOD DAMN SHREDDER CUSS CUSS SWEAR! I just talked to it as a person. Thinking on it perhaps since I feel I have no "people" in my life friends or a boyfriend to lain on for support. :-(

I rarely talk to things like cups and forks. Because usually they silently obey me. I do talk to computers, cars and my %&#@ remote control, because electronics much seem to have a will of their own, so maybe they actually can listen.....

I also talk to my plush toys.

No, you're not crazy :D :D
i do it all the time, but usually its only if i bump into something or hurt myself. i walked into a wall earlier, and i kicked it and said- "Get outta my way, stupid *beeping* wall!"
Many people with ASD's talk to inanimate objects, but many NT's as well, but it just seems a little more 'real' for us, as in, we are actually talking to it, not just joking.

I would only worry if objects start talking to you:

When I lose something, I shout out the name of the object while walking through the house in the same pattern over and over again until I find it.

When I was a kid I talked to objects all the time.

I talk to inanimate objects all the time. I could give a heck less if anyone thinks I am crazy or not. I know lots of people do this. It is not crazy, it is just coping mechansim for when things get frustrating, a way to focus until you can sort out the problem. A lot of people do this whether they are on the spectrum or not. Certainly not a reason to go to a pysch ward over 8O Sounds like an overreaction to me. Like the parents are a bit stressed out and have some other issues to deal with. Some people have a thing that really bothers them, but they jump down your throat over something not even related. It's very confusing. I think it's called passive-aggressiveness, but I am not sure.

I do it a lot, and a lot of NTs often do it as well.

An intolerant mother is what's wrong with you. I've done that plenty of times myself, and protesting against machinery that doesn't always comply with your wishes is good for a chuckle or two where I come from.

I've seen that Excitebike thing I watch Adult Swim. :-) It's cute. I'm glad I'm not the only one and stuff seems more "Real" to people with ASD's than NT's but as you guys said NT's do this aswell. and I agree an overreaction but it hurt all the same. :-(

I think that sounds fairly normal.

My father used to shout at the radio - not only this, but he would do it with a mouthful of porridge so that the radio would be covered nauseating little specks of slimy, oaty saliva.

I really don't miss breakfast at my parents' house. :eew:
