my ferret frosty was just at the vet yesterday and we found out he had a 1 inch long tumur. we're going to be giving him meletonin once everyday to make the itching go away, also his hair will grow back. but it won't help the tumur. he's 5 years old. i got him as a baby.we don't know how long he'll last.

I'm sorry to hear that, losing pets always hit me harder than most of the funerals I've been too. I think for me, animals with unconditioned love that will never judge me, is one of the most rewarding things out there. To nuture and care for one from a baby is the ultimate gift.

I hope everything works out for your ferret, frosty. I will pray for him.

we're sorry to hear that. louie is a 14 or 15 year old basset/? mix and i try to make every day as good for him as possible.

i've had to put down hundreds of very old, very ill, seriously injured non-humans that no one wanted or cared about. it tears at your 'soul' but it is sometimes the right thing to do.

all you can do is what you've been doing. love frosty and care for him, make each day a special day.

we all hope for the best for you and frosty. please look up 'rainbow bridge' on the internet.

I'm so sorry. I just lost a cat in December to lymphoma, and it really sucked. Hope Frosty has a reasonable amount of time left and that he doesn't suffer. I'm sure you will do what it takes to make him comfortable.

Condolences. So does mine. He goes for monthly Lupron shots, which help noticeably, and gets Saw Palmetto daily for complications. Thus he has managed without surgery for months. Try that??

oh, that is awful. i hope he recovers, or at least doesn't suffer. he will be happy you are taking such good care of him - your love is what he needs.

I am so sorry veggiewolf, I have seen my fair share of adrenal tumors and lymphoma with my ferrets. There are treatments for adrenal tumors such as lupron injections which slows down tumor growth and helps with the itchiness and hairloss

I am very sorry to hear about your pet. It's difficult for me when one of my pets is ill.
