Right. Well about 5 years ago I became involved with an aspie. I still am o_o. But anyway. If I had never met him, I never would have even heard of Aspergers Syndrome. But a lot of the time, I think I have it too. He says that these tests online aren't really accurate at all, but it still has me wondering...

I'll post all the results I get from the tests posted on the forum:

The Broad Autism Phenotype Test:

Autistic/BAP
You scored 124 aloof, 106 rigid and 116 pragmatic

The Autistic Spectrum Quotient:

Score: 35

Systemizing and Empathizing quotient:

Your Score 16 71 Extreme Systemizing

Emotional Intelligence:

Self-report Component
Subscale IQ score = 55
Subscale percentile = 0.13 (very poor)

Highly sensitive person test:

You have indicated that 25 of the items are true of you.

Reading the mind in the eyes test:

Your score: 24

]Face Memory test:

Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 65.
In other words, you got 90% correct.

Aspie quiz:

Your Aspie score: 155 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 60 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

So umm... I'm getting more and more convinced of this >_> I answered everything as truthfully as I could. And the last test seems quite sure XD. Just... looking back on my childhood; it makes a lot of sense if this is what is "wrong" with me. I'm not saying having Aspergers is totally bad. But it would help me accept myself, ya know?

I want to hear other people's point of view on these results. :)

Edit: Oh... umm btw, hi XD I forgot to be more introducing of myself. I'm 20 years old and from England. I've never been to a doctor about my mental health apart from one time that I was suicidal. That wasn't good -_- but I am too scared of being dismissed to go and get a proper diagnosis.

*waves to everyone* ^_^

Hi Tsuki,
I'm in Derbyshire and was diagnosed last week so I know nothing about anything, I was diagnosed after I did the AQ test but I also have an extensive history of depression and social anxiety. I was told that the NHS does not consider aspergers to be an illness, basically so they have an excuse to ignore those of us who have been suffering for years as a result of it. At no point in my care has any doctor/nurse or anyone else suggested that there was the potential for there to be an underlying cause for my problems, it only occurred to me after watching embarrassing bodies.
I'm not telling you this to put you off seeking a diagnosis just to suggest that you need to decide if you need one or if knowing who you are yourself is enough. If you know that you need a diagnosis then the nas website has information on how to prepare and what to tell your gp, you don't need to go alone and there is often more than one doctor in a practice, you are entitled to know if you want to.
I hope that whatever you do is right for you, good luck.

Hi, i know this was posted some time ago. this is so you know more about me. i was sort of diagnosed about 5 years ago. But they would not do a proper diagnosis. I do suffer from depression and anxity. I am on anti depressant tablets. I found out that i had Hi functional/Astberges syndrome with watching a documentary about it and the traits that this person had was the same as mine so i looked more into it. Asberges is a neurological disorder. not an illness. it was discovered in the 40s. but has been ignored till now. I have sent you a PM in response to you lovely email.

Hi Tsuki

First want to say hi, i'm in south england and its nice to see a fellow brit.

Second, I'm 28 and diagnosed 4 years ago after many many hard years as a child and adult. So if you want to now anything drop me an e-mail. I was very lucky down here that there is a special AS unit in my local area and they assessed me over about 6 months before they made a full diagnosis.

Anyway speak to you soon hopefully

p.s I am also with the NT guy that before me had never heard of AS and still to this day we talk of similarities we both have.
