Garner enough social understanding and a high effort to appear normal, which should make the person not fit the diagnostic criteria any longer, and will probably result in unhappiness.

Depends on your personality, but being eccentric isn't necessarily a bad quality anyway.

This is not bad advice. If you're dressed attractively people will simply think you're "mysterious." Watch out though - they might get really curious.
