I prefer Dwarf Fortress, myself. It's similar, but much more detailed and complex.

I love DF as well, altho most of my fortresses ended with me breaking into an adamantium tube that leads to depths unkown.

I keep getting lost when I go out to get more wood, then get attacked by the spiders. I swear I played for an hour and died 4 times because when I was in shelter the damn things would block me in. lol

Little tip... exploding zombies jump at your door and then just wait for you to open it.

Behold my current creation (at this stage)

I'm in the process of creating a moat all around first

My building has expanded. I've began building a bridge and added some more stuff on the roof. And got rid of mud blocks and put stone ones instead just to make it look neat.

The way water works in this game is weird i've parts of my moat that the water won't reach for some reason...

This is a cavern directly under the building down several flights of stairs. This was originally 2-3 natural caverns but i've dug them out into one big one. Three differnt corridors go off into other mining areas im working on and a fourth ive put a door on leads down to a vast and mostly unexplored cavern system full of magma, zombies n stuff

Most of the materials i've used to build my keep came from here.
