Quote:
POPE CONGRATULATED ON SIZE OF HIS BALLS

POPE Benedict was congratulated on the sheer heft and girth of his testicles last night after the former Hitler Youth member said atheists were Nazis and accused Richard Dawkins of plotting a new holocaust.

Looking as if he believed every word of it, the Pontiff claimed it was the Nazis' atheism that drove them to kill millions and warned that the smart arse you argue with in the pub about religion will eventually gas you in a camp near Watford.

Ignoring his predecessor Pius XII's indifference to the Final Solution, as well as the countless references to God and 'divine providence' in Mein Kampf and many of Hitler's speeches, the Pope said Professor Dawkins was probably a gayboy as well.

He said: "The Nazis wanted to destroy all religions. That's why they focused on killing Jews. And homosexuals and gypsies and intellectuals and communists and people who didn't like Nazis. Thank Christ I wasn't on that list.

"I would stress that there's absolutely no need for anyone to go looking any of this up in books and such like. The great thing about my infallibility is that it means you have more time to spend on your hobbies."

Tom Logan, who listened to the speech in Edinburgh, said: "Sweet baby Jesus, that man's got the biggest f*****g balls I've ever seen. He must use a pair of specially adapted braces to stop them bumping along the ground.

"Or maybe there's a tiny priest under his dress whose job it is to hold the Pope's massive nuts in a basket."

Meanwhile Professor Henry Brubaker, of the Institute for Studies, explained: "Not that it actually makes any difference, but of course Hitler believed in God - he just didn't like organised religion. He wanted his ideology to be supreme just like - oh, I don't know - every Pope since the fictional character of St Peter was invented sometime in the late first century.

"And obviously the holocaust would not have been possible unless the Nazis had been able to tap into the deep-seated Christian anti-semitism that had existed across Europe for centuries. You fat f*****g sack of infallible monkey s**t."

But last night a Vatican spokesman insisted the Pope was 'well aware of Nazi ideology' mainly because he had earned the badge when he was 14.

The spokesman added: "He also had the Kristallnacht badge, the eugenics badge and even got extra credit for being able to draw a very amusing caricature of a predatory Jew."

^^Yaye greetings everyone. I am very sorry for asking, however may I ask, is this article perhaps a happy little parody?

This is just that I would be very surprised if a Pope stated "Thank Christ".

If I had balls, they would be bigger than yours. :D But even I wouldn't compare atheists to Nazis. And for crying out loud- he was a Hitler Youth. AKA MINI NAZI! It'd be like saying that catholics are the real Nazis because they seek control through religion (I don't think that's the case, but with a pope like him, it had to be pointed out).

But really, the pope has the audacity to do some fuxed up stuff. Remember when he was going to give a full pardon for the priests that molested children? The blasting of atheists as such is only one of these crazy antics that the pope's done...

To those who asked: yes, this is a parody, but of a real story. The Pope, who was in the Hitler Youth, did call atheists Nazis.

With discretion, please understand that there are Wrong Planet members who have religious convictions. Whilst clever news articles that are in jest can be entertaining, please keep comments respectful and with dignity, not using contentious language. OK? It's nothing personal, really. One's spirituality is private. Just saying......(at least) one other member feels quite hurt. Thanks for listening.

P.S. I'm not an (active) mod due to academic obligations, etc. But, I thought to post anyway.

Well I can't see anything insulting in the comments, and it's all in good humour :)

TBH, I'd have thought that a strongly religious person wouldn't click a thread which says "POPE CONGRATULATED ON SIZE OF HIS BALLS" in big capital letters in the first place, but there ya go :P

BTW, I sent this article to a Catholic friend before I posted it and she found it funny.

Since I'm assuming it may be over my comment, I wish to point out that my personal beliefs are actually a bit open in the thoughts of religion. One has the right to believe. However, I also feel that the previous pope at least seemed apologetic and a bit less traditional than the present one and with some of the things that this one has done- tried to pardon the sex scandals with young boys and now this in spite with his own ties to the Nazi party- I don't have respect for this particular one. It's just how I feel about one person who has an important role in religion but NOT THE RELIGION ITSELF. I can't emphasize this enough and my comparison was a cynical swipe at the serious part of the satire. While it is private, I did want to share that for me, my disagreement with the present pope is not one of religion (this round), but of some of the things he's done.

Meanwhile, I realize on the same side of the coin that there were social pressures that coincided with better interests during the Nazi regime. The Hitler Youth in many cases was not a choice on whether to join or not. It was join or risk being ostracized at the possibility of the same thing that you mentioned to be private and one's prerogative. Modern German History and my German classes taught me that much. It just took me about 24 hours before that came back to my memory. ^^'

So to recap, sorry for offending anyone and please understand that it was a person, not the religion that I meant to target my opinion on. I tend to be a little blunt and/or ambiguous somehow when it comes to my opinions...

The Nazis killed or locked up a lot of people who didn't agree with them.

But over the centuries the Catholic Church killed a whole lot MORE people including Jews and a LOT of Muslims during the Crusades.

So if the Nazis killed people because the Nazis were atheists, then why did the Catholics kill people?

Hitler hoped for a "Thousand year Reich"

The Catholics had their thousand year reich. We call it "The Dark Ages"!
