Got the idea for this from another forum. Basically it goes like this. Someone posts a song and the next person rates it and then posts one as well. I think it's a great way to show off your musical tastes.
I'll start with this classic. It's one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs:
"Nobody Home"--Pink Floyd

I rate the above song as an appalling dirge suitable only to play whilst sitting in a dungeon eating gruel and hay.

I like this song:

Dagenham Dave - Morrissey

Rating: A song missing soccer hooligans, though pretty smooth listening.

Introducing something foreign ( Dutch  ) here:
Spinvis - Wespen op de appeltaart

Rough translation of the band and title: Spiderfish - Wasps on the applepie

Enjoy!

A nice song to play at wedding parties or barbecues on Sunday.

My song is this one: Alegria, Alegria

I couldn´t find the English translation... If you press number "2" on comments there is the translation.

5/10 --I'm being generous because I don't understand a word and couldn't get the translation to work.
Here's one that always gives me nostalgic tingles:
"Heat of the Moment"--Asia

I give that song about five stars out of ten. It's okayish - I'd probably listen to it if there were nothing else on the radio.

This is a song from Enya. I find it to be very relaxing, and it reminds me of fairy tales. :)

I give Enya eight out of ten - I like her a lot, and find her songs very relaxing.

Here's another - I really like the voices on this song, though admittedly the dancing is awful:

The Weeping Song - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Different, not a stateside sound for certain.

Here's something that I witnessed live and...someone else has to relive my trauma now...muahahaha!

Journey - Don't Stop Believing (As interpreted by Intern Jeffrey at Rovervest 2010)

Are you serious? The original music is fine but I rate that guy 0/10. Absolutely no talent.

My music is this one.

The actual singing part is from the beginning until 4:23, it's just (really really cool) instrumentals after that.

I rate Matty Groves 8 out of 10, 'cause I love singing it and you gotta love the instrumental. Silly song though. :) Liege & Lief is a great album.

Here's mine:

Lol, I think that was kind of the point.

Ambivalance - sounds like something I'd be nodding my head to if I was out at a bar. Good pub tune for sure.

My next select:
Rockwell - Full Circle

"You Got Another Thing Coming"--Motion Device (originally recorded by Judas Priest

It's pretty terrible but not as bad as I thought it would be. It's cringier to watch than to listen to. It sounds exactly how you'd expect a bunch of kids who don't 'get' Metal and who have been bullied by their parents to sound. Like Priest without soul.

Rate this.

Can't beat the classics - particularly when it comes to funk.
