I'm a high functioning autistic. I get along with people really well these days. However, my intellect is below a regular person. Hence, I am somewhat limited on career opportunities.

I can honestly say I would much rather be a smart,wealthy aspie than this.

The difference between the two is only slight. Living with either is not much different, so it's kind of like asking whether I like Walmart or Stop and Shop ketchup.

At this stage in my life, I don't know if it would make that much of a difference. High functioning autism is easier to pronounce without getting odd looks from people. *shrug*

Sorry if that's a lot of questions, but I'm not willing to take it at face value that you've a sub-normal intellect considering your above-average ability to construct sentences. And yes, I know that this alone doesn't constitute much more than a good education, but learning good sentence construction and spelling is at least partly reliant on intelligence.

We had a thread a while back trying to lay out the differences between HFA and AS. Every single person who responded was half-HFA, half-AS by that definition, regardless of diagnosis.

When you figure out some actual difference, maybe I'll have an answer then.

ApsieGuy, is this how you're making your Aspergers go away? According to your other thread, your AS is almost gone. LOL Are you replacing it with HFA?
