I have recently spent hours mesmerized by Conway's game of life. I find it very relaxing to form simple patterns and watch them evolve into random complex blinky-things. Has anyone else ever played around with cellular automa simulations?
If so, what is the coolest object you ever developed?

I used to love conway's game of life. . . haven't gotten to play with it much lately
