I like the new interface a lot. It runs much smoother and faster than previously. It also looks pretty damn slick to boot! Finally, my player profile is worth being looked at just a little bit!

Also, have you noticed that messages being sent are much clearer now? Very crisp.. I love it. I actually sound a lot more like I do in person. very cool...

Which is amusing, Pondering, because a lot of people online are complaining that now they sound like robots... :)

I'm beginning to think I'm the only person with my own issue, though - since the update, my XBox hasn't recognized the disk for Halo: Reach. I can play Rock Band just fine, and GTA IV - but no trips to Reach for this space cowboy...

I like it. Seems to have improved the performance on my 360 a lot too and a lot cleaner and smarter looking than the old interface.

I hate it, it looks absolutely terrible... And right when I was finally used to and started loving the new Dashboard they release this POS...

Interesting that most say its smoother and faster, my experience has been quite the opposite. On the older dashboards almost everything was instantaneous. Now there's a good 1-5 second lag when doing literally anything. Its not bad enough that its unusable, but I am a little upset that I cant downgrade because of it.

Visually, I'm indifferent. Auditory, I prefer it because the sounds are much softer. Not enough so that I prefer it over the faster speed, though.

I wanted to take this opportunity to mention that I changed my gamertag to Johnny Fehndrix.

As for the update, I preferred the angled windows.

That is interesting. Have you tried listening to people via your television? I find that the voices are much clearer on T.V. than they are via the Xbox-Live Headset Speakers.
I think a lot of people do sound robotic, so maybe since they can hear themselves clearer than normal, they now hear themselves as they really are.

I've just downloaded the new Dashboard (2.2.12516.0) and my backwards compatibility (which was present in 2.1.9199.0) is gone. Completely. And it refuses to recognize the presence of any disc (Verbatim CD-R, Verbatim DVD-R, etc) to which I have written the 2007 BC update.

Update: Attempting to install the 2007 backwards compatibility update from a flash drive throws an E71.
