I hate it when that happens. Another thing I can't stand is that I might want to print a picture of a little girl, and pictures of naked women show up.

Generally I use very specific searches and find what I'm looking for fairly quickly. If I have to search through a couple pages of results I don't mind too much.

Umm, riiight. There's something wrong with that I think.

Anyways, to people complaining about the Instant results, go to your Google home page, click "Settings" then "Search settings" then scroll to the bottom and untick the Google Instant box and hit "Save preferences"

I hate search engines in general. It's creepy to know that anything you write on the internet can be found as a result in a search engine

I like Google.

I like the fact that I can sit at my computer and find out almost anything I want to know on any subject within a few minutes, from an obscure historical question to a recipe for potato salad.

What I don't like is that they record all these searches to send me targeted advertising or perhaps to put me on a terrorist watch list if I have been visiting certain sites.

You young "internet generation" are spoiled. A few years ago if you wanted to know something then your only chance was to go to to the local public library and if they didn't have a book on the subject then you were out of luck.

We are Gods! Sitting alone in our bedrooms we can look up any subject and get into a discussion about it with people on the other side of the world. That is just amazing.

https://www.google.com/ <-use this and, though Google will still collect anonymous information about you (connected only to your IP, not your identity), it'll make it much harder for anyone to snoop your searches.
