Hi everybody, my name is Jason. I am 31, have never been diagnosed with Asperger's, but judging from what I have read about it, it seems pretty evident to me that I have it. I did have to go to a counselor through school as a kid, but I didn't show much interest, so neither did she. I have always had a hard time in interacting with others, knowing how to behave in social situations was a mystery to me as a kid, but I have through the years pretty much perfected the art of 'faking it'. I have read about Asperger's a little over the past couple of hours, and it seems like the more I read about it, the more I find myself saying "Oh, that's me!". I hope to learn more from others here because the intensity of my 'condition' has not increased or diminished through the years, but the effects of it on my life have definitely increased as time has gone by. I look forward to getting advice from others, and learning from thier stories.

Hi! Yeah, you'll find TONS of resources here and advice. There are a lot of people officially diagnosed with Aspergers / other autism spectrum disorders and a lot of undiagnosed people who dx'ed themselves. Welcome!

Thanks guys, I'm already learning alot about why I am the way I am and have always been mentally, and socially. I always knew there was something 'different', just had no way to put a finger on it. I was beginning to think "Maybe I'm just some kind of a jackass or something".
While I still don't rule out that possibility , it's nice to see that there's a reason for all these little quirks.
BTW I just took the Aspie test and it gave me a 156 Aspie score and a 55 NT,
very likely an Aspie. I don't think I'm gonna bother for an official diagnosis, I've survived this long lol

And it's a good feeling to know that there are so many others going through a lot of the same things. This morning I woke up alone, and I feel that I can go to sleep tonight knowing that I am not nearly as alone as I thought I was.
