Now that I've figured out a lot of my past problems are AS related. now I know why, how to I fix it? Can I fix it?

I've always had trouble sticking to anything for long. I find something I want to do and go full bore for a while and all of a sudden I lose interest or get to a point I don't care if I do it or now.

How do I stay focused on one thing so I can support myself and take care of things that need to be taken care of?

Some things you can fix. Some things you can learn to work with, but not fix.

Focusing and getting things done are tricky ones, I am finding. You can will yourself to remain with something. Build that concentration muscle. I guess you might even try medication. Maybe working out why you abandon things would help. Can you observe that? What would be the benefits of sticking with things instead?

Self acceptance and understanding why we are the way we are can be the first step to take.
Then learning how to live drawing on our strengths without too much pressure to fix our weaknesses.
I found the focus is alot better directed at finding what I was really good at, that offset my weaknesses as they mattered less then.

I have the same problem with motivation and focus. I can go non stop full spead ahead at a project only to loose interest half way.
What helped me was turning my obbsessive trait to my advantage by generating lists of my goels. and followed a routine I stuck to.
This is the only way I stayed on track, If I don't have clear routines and lists to follow I can get quite lost.
