Apparently women have certain things that they learned from their mother or other family members about men and that they keep a secret? Is this true and if yes, what are those rules?

I have absolutely no idea. I very much doubt it.

problably, in the same way men have unwritten rules about women. I mean, it's a NT ruled world, everybody's got unwritten rules about everybody...

The first rule is, you do no talk about the 'unwritten rules about men' club.

Also the second rule, but more emphatic.

Hey, just remember, SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE, has written these rules down. You just have to find the piece of paper.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you...

All kidding aside, I think what you're referring to is stuff like:

1) don't make eye contact with men you pass on the street. It's aggressive and is taken as an invitation to be hassled.
2) it is unladylike to sit without crossing your legs at the knee or at the ankle. If you sit spread-legged you are a slattern, ill-bred, and probably a slut. Or you will be taken for one.

I could go on and on. They're behavioral rules meant to discourage unwanted interest from men. Largely they're from a time that no longer exists and they don't apply now.

Is that what you meant, stuff like that?

The only thing I remember my mother telling me was if I had an affair with a married man, then I'd have a man who cheats on his wife.
I always wondered where the rulebook was and when I saw a book titled The Rules, I read it. It was all about playing hard to get, basically.

You mean like how men learned from their father or other family members that women are emotional, irrational, fragile, weak, childish and that you should humor them anyway if you ever want to have sex with them?

Yes, we sort of do have rules like that.
