Pluto was largely considered by astrologers to be a planet with a "generational" influence in birth charts, so it's "de-planetization" has little significance in someone's overall natal chart, with the exception of various aspects to other planets. Those aspects can be inferred by comparing one's natal chart traits to others in the same generation.
As for me, I'm an Aries (moon in Pisces, Leo rising, Venus in Aries, Mercury in Pisces, Mars and Jupiter in Aquarius, Saturn in Gemini...) I guess this is one of my special interests.
As for those who say it's hooey, you are certainly entitled to your opinion, although I feel I should point out that when Columbus told people he wanted to find a new route to India by going in the other direction, people swore he'd fall off the edge of the earth.
