Hey all! I have been lurking this site off and on for a while now and told quite a few aspies about it. Decided to finally just go ahead and join. So heres a little background on me:
I was misdiagnosed when i was 13 with bipolar. Long story short and 2 hospital stays later i was properly diagnosed with AS, ADHD, OCD, Seasonal Affect Disorder and Depression. It's been a challenging path of growth and self-exploration ever since. I moved out when I was 18 because I felt I needed it to grow further. Gave college a shot and couldn't handle it and instead got a number of technical certificates. I was diagnosed with a severe case of Crohn's Disease in 2004 and have had to learn to deal with that on top of everything else. It has been tough. I am recently back in college aiming for a Bachelors of Computer Engineering. Hopefully i survive this time, so far I have been doing ok. A couple of years ago I found my aspie soulmate (she didnt even know she had AS at the time!) and i proposed to her this last new years eve. We are moving in together the 25th of January. I figure we might need the support to make this work, so I am going to get this out of the way already.
My main hyperfocus is... did you guess already? Computers! If any of you guys need help with any computer issues or have any questions feel free to contact me, I don't mind helping out a fellow wrong planet member!
I am a major audiophile and I can't live without music. I also am a huge pc gamer and I am well known in the StarCraft community under a different alias.
