It seems like it got removed. Is it because the OP requested it? Or could it be that someone reported it to the mods and demanded that it be removed?

I hope it's not the latter. Because I didn't see anything wrong with that thread.

because there's arguing about which religion is right and then there's intentionally trying to upset someone.

You know that in the Qu'ran, any characiture of Muhammad is strictly forbidden and angers Muslims. Why do it other than to upset them?

If you're Christian or Catholic, would you mind if I force-fed you beef on friday or making a picture depicting zombie Jesus having gay sex with the Easter bunny and made you look at it on Passover?

There's freedom of speech and then there's just POing people.

Do you agree with >these people<

Annoying the opposition is the essence of freedom of speech. As long as it is not incitement to riot and panic or libel or slander nothing should be forbidden legally.

I agree

but

you don't have to exacerbate the situation and anger them further just by posting a pic. You must appreciate the fact that people who post the picture and call it free speech are just doing it to upset people?

All I know is I didn't remove it myself.

Oh, for shame, the picture was quite cute. Obviously meant for a kiddie book.

Their motives are irrelevant. If they are not directly inciting violence/riot or committing libel, it is protected speech and it not legally actionable. Now, whether alex wishes to permit it on his privately owned forum is at his own discretion (and the discretion of those he has placed in charge, ie the moderators).

There is a good deal of trolling against many different religious beliefs around here. If the standard set by the picture is the new standard by which one can be offended, the pretty much everything said by some people would should be out. I am not offended, because I choose not to be offended. I tend to think it correct to err on the side of free speech.

Apostasy within Islam is a real issue. I suggest everyone look into what is happening right now in Pakistan.
