suddenly, my laptop battery isn't charging. Everything's plugged in but it's not charging.

I would first check the voltage coming out of the AC adapter. The label on the adapter will show its designed voltage and amperage. If the output voltage there actually is what it should be and all connections are good, I would next suspect a battery that will no longer accept and/or hold a charge.

You probably need to replace it. The death of a battery can be brought on prematurely by leaving the charger in place long after the power indicator has reached 100%. Unplug it from the charger when it reaches 100% and only recharge the battery after it discharges completely (or when the indicator hovers around 10%).

Also, you can find generic replacements on Amazon or eBay. I can't vouch for their quality but the one I just bought of off eBay is holding up nicely. Make sure you get a 7800 mAh battery; they can give you up to double the power of the 4800 mAh battery that most laptops originally come with.

Have you cleaned or adjusted the contacts? It usually works.
