Sometimes when I close my eyes just before I go to sleep, Imagine the room I am in a thousand times bigger than what it is, and a scary feeling starts creeping over me. I am awake so I try imagining the room smaller but I cant. I have to open my eyes to reassure myself that the room isn't big and I am not small. I can then close my eyes again and go to sleep. I have never tried not opening my eyes to reassure myself because the scary feeling gets too overwhelming.
Anyone else get this feeling?

Not exactly at that time, but I have been too frightened to move, especially when waking up from a dream state, Expecially, if the dream was a nightmare.

I have had a very similar sensation occur every now and then since I was a child. To me it feels like I am being towered over by MASSIVE lego-like pieces. I really can't explain it better than that. Like you I too am still awake, and it does feel quite scary.

Somehow a few years ago I worked out that it correlated with if my blood was being cut off (from lying on my arm or my neck at a bad angle etc) and if I move into a different position it disappears straight away.

I have no idea what this is about, and the feeling it creates really defies my ability in explanations.

I have not experiance that before......but sometimes I get a feeling like whatever i am laying on feels like its floating, that can be a bit odd. And last night I got a sudden feeling of total detatchment from myself which was not very pleasent.

I've had that feeling of getting smaller and then bigger. its a little scary but if you learn how to not let it scare you it feels kind of wierd, and "tickles" if that makes any sence :pig:

Same here. I become completely disoriented and must open my eyes in order to recall and/or to be sure of where I am and that everything actually is in order.

This is going to sound weird, but instead of trying to imagine the room getting smaller, imagine yourself getting bigger. This changes the focus of your mind from the room to yourself. Focus strongly enough on your body and the room is irrelevant.

In bed at night I get the sensation that I'm spinning, as soon as I lie down. It's a weird feeling but I actually like it. I'm just lying there thinking "Wheeee!! !".

Similar to the size issue, at night I imagine objects, it could be any object, getting insanely huge, and then insanely tiny. At that moment I can't get the object out of my head. Hmm... hard to explain to others.

No way, I used to get that exact same feeling when I was younger. It was also a recurring nightmare, it was horrible. It rarely happens now though.
