I have what the doctor referred to as high-functioning Asperger's Syndrome.
I've been hating school since I went to middle school, as bullies would pester me relentlessly. I was not happy. It's gotten better as time has gone on, but the drama around me and the lack of understanding of so many people around me. I prefer solitude, or hanging out with a few friends.
So, my real question: I'm going to go to college next year. For those of you who know... is it better? I guess I'm intelligent, so the workload isn't a big deal. Just the social aspects.

It all depends on the type of campus and the dispositions of the students there.

The typical college it is a lot easier to be invisible except to the few to whom you reveal yourself. High school typically you are in lockstep through the classes with people some of whom know you too well.

Also, you start to meet more serious people and even some likeminded.

College was much easier than high school, in my experience.
