I had a female friend that I thought I could trust her completley. I told her about my disability and some how everybody knew about it the next day. I remember one day we got into an arguement and I said that nobody else knew about it and she said "Oh please...I bet everybody knows how screwed up you are." and people said "hey are you autistic?" "Did you hear that Sam's autistic?" and everybody treated me diffrently, primarly the girls. I started sitting with the guys, they said they didn't really care. We talked about video games, we told fart jokes, sometimes we even made fun of eachothers names(I sometimes got Tucan Sam). Next day she asked "Why the hell are you hanging out with them?" I said "Well they seem non-judgemental unlike you and the other girls" She asked me "What do you even talk about?" My answer was "Guitar Hero, Pokemon, video games?" She started laughing. This got to the point where it was out of hand every day after class she asked me "Aren't you embarassed you asked that question?" "You should be ashamed of yourself for presenting a project like that."

Now it's like we don't even know eachother. Ever since that I've never been friends with another girl. I guess I trusted her to much.

A line from this song fits me pretty much.

"I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me"

It's taken me years to build up trust with someone enough to call them a friend, enough to get a hug from them, etc. I'm very untrusting, but it's a defense mechanism because of being bullied and having my trust broken so easily.

I´ve had the a problem trusting others too much since I was a child.
Over time I´ve done some improvements(learnt the hard way) but I had a similar problem last year(spent a couple of months with people that took advantage of me just because "they seemed nice" and I had no one else to hang out with).

The only thing that has helped a bit is doubting other people´s intentions most of the time.

Absolutely not. I've become so cynical (and quite paranoid, in all honesty) that I don't trust anyone, with few exceptions.

I can't read faces or judge character on my "Gut". Cynical logic and Aggressive realism are medociore subsitutes.

I'm no good at figuring out if someone is trustworthy or not. So I alternate between trusting everyone and trusting no one.

I don't trust anyone except myself, sadly.
I don't even know why :D.

I don't fully trust anyone and I'm always especially skeptical of people I've known for under a year.

I never trust anyone. I think that if i trust them they will always turn around i stab me in the back(though not always intentionally).

I've only told one person that I have asperger's and she just looked at me and said "I can see that" then we just started talking like normal, she is one of the few i do trust :)
