I used to love crosstitch but then life got busier and I kinda got away from it. I really should get back to that though - thanks for the reminder. :)

quilting.

But I think of it as two separate processes: design and construction. I think I like the design phase best because it involves playing with patterns of color and shape. The construction phase is more meditative, keeping my hands busy while my subconscious wanders.

I realize that I am a boy  but I as I just had a mom I did some of the stuff like when I was in elementry school but I never had enough hand eye coordination to do detailed stuff (in those lil holes) so I just did cross stitch.

I enjoy doing counted cross stitch and have completed a couple so far I just started a little over a year ago actually I restarted I did cross stitch a long time ago.
I like doing those latch rug kits but I don't know what to do with it after I complete one I think they would look tacty on a wall or something. I just throw them in the craft box until they get I my way then I pitch them out.
In addition to the above I like to carve figurines out of wood. I would love to be able to draw but I can not even manage a straight line.
I think that it is unusual for a guy to enjoy cross stitch but I find following the patterns relaxing.

I do cross stitch occasionally...I've also made a couple quilts (love different types of fabric).

I love to crochet...afghans, doilies I'll never use  , etc.

I'd love to learn to do cross stitch, patterns, sew, cut, do collages.

To all of you: Did you learn it by yourself?

Cross stitch is easy buy a simple kit for your first one and go from there.
The premade kits have everything that you need to complete that pattern the needles the thread and instructions. If you need help just pm me I will try to help.

Go for it!!

Remember Rosey Grier? I was little when they used to interview him and sometimes show his needlepoint on occasion...I always thought it was cool.
