I am not sure whether I'll be getting it or not. $250 is far too expensive for me, so I might wait until it reduces in price. Though, by then, I will probably be busy with other things and the 3DS would be the last thing on my mind.

I'm going to trade my Nintendo DSi XL in at Gamestop towards the 3DS, so it will be $150 new. :)

I'm keeping my DSI Xl and getting the 3SDS. I so thrilled about it.

Really depends on how impressive it actually is. No idea what to expect really since the 3D doesn't really come across over video.
I'm going to have to wait and see if I lust over it when I see it in action. Then maybe I'll be able to reconcile parting with the money.

My brother got one today, haven't played it though so I can't judge it yet.

When it goes down in price, and some games that really interest me come out. Until then I'm satisfied with my old DS Lite :)

Got it and love it, face raiders has me rolling. I can't wait for OoT, that's the big selling point for me. The 3d camera is pretty damn awesome even with its low resolution. The only thing that really bums me about it is the short battery life.

Oh no. That sounds like it would annoy me... I'll probably stick it out for the (inevitable) more compact/upgraded version that'll probably have a better battery life, I think. (:

Yeah, the games that are out with release sound kinda disappointing too... I'm in no rush to get it since I don't really want to play anything that's out right now.

Oh oh! What's the 3D screen look like? Does it actually look 3d or do you have to tilt it unnaturally to get the effect?

My brother got one and the 3d effect is spectacular. The only negative thing I can say is that the 3d fails at an angle. The screen blurs and you begin to see double. Then, your eyes begin to hurt and you get dizzy. That's why I advise all of you not to watch others play it. I'm suffering a 3DS headache right now.

I don't get it, I had one of the original DS and it was boring as sin as after about five minutes there was nothing more to do in the games, I sold it after about a month. I never understood why they took off (granted I am a PC gamer, never understood consoles either)...BUT I wouldn't mind trying the 3DS as I am hearing good things, I'd love to see what it was like and if gameplay has improved at all.

I can't afford one right now (paying off some debts), but I will eventually get one. Ever since Symphony of the Night came out, it seems like the only decent Castlevania games have been released on Nintendo's handheld systems. I'm hoping the tradition continues with the 3DS. (I'm a major Castlevania 'sperg.)

I'd like to get one, but I can't afford one for a while...hopefully by the time I can, the rest of the colors will come out over here.

The 3D effect isn't nearly as strong as I thought it'd be, but it's still pretty cool. Can't wait to play Kid Icarus.

It's too early to get right now. No real games. And i already played Tales of the Abyss on Playstation2; so no need to get it when it comes for 3DS. I'm going to wait for the new Playstation Portable first (since like the early PS3s it will start with ALOT of features; and there is the fear they may disappear later); then later save up and get a 3DS.
Even the bust-a-groove game for the 3DS got bad reviews. That is a really fun game; and hard to mess up.

They're releasing tales of the abyss for 3ds? That's news to me.

I agree - I feel like I wouldn't get much use out of a 3ds within the foreseeable future because of the limited selection.

Question: What games (besides OoT(... again)) are y'all most excited about? I've seen a list in nintendo power and one from gamestop too but yeah, I didn't see any "real" games either. Not new ones at least. ):

The only game that I would want to play for the 3DS that has been officially confirmed is Kid Icarus: Uprising mostly because it looks fast and action-packed, much like Sin and Punishment (S&P rocks!).
