A lot of the cartoons I like have a strong geek element (so do I) but I can't help but think they also have a strong Aspie/Autistic component as well - partly because that's an extremely common quality in geeks (and therefore inevitable in geek characters on television). And I think that this Aspie element is as attractive to me as the geek aspect.

For those interested, my cartoon favourites at the moment (although some aren't showing at the moment) are Dangermouse, New Adventures of Johnny Quest, Kim Possible, Johnny Test and Phineas and Ferb.

Anyone think I'm right/purple in my interpretation? Anyone have their own favourite cartoon that fits the pattern?

I love Gundam Wing, for it's exaggerated melo-drama, and scientific elements. Space travel, mobile suits made of "Gundanium Alloy" etc :P

Gundam Wing
Bucky O'Hare
D Greymon
Hellsing
Batman the Animated Series
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Jack

Just to name a few. I generally like media that isn't too in your face in a flashy cracked out fashion. I used to like Ren and Stimpy- esc cartoons, but now I just can't sit through it.

The Simpsons
Family Guy
Robot Chicken
Archer FX

More of a "naughty" component than an Aspie component.

Oh man, I lived off the Magic School Bus!
Also, Gargoyles. Loved that show. Same with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Love.
