My dog is overnight at the vet

They think it's probably haemorrhagic gastroenteritis or an anal gland cyst that has formed an abcess; more likely gastro.

They are going to give her fluids, painkillers and antibiotics to prevent a secondary infection.

Aside from being in pain, she seemed in fairly good spirits when we took her there.

The last I heard, she hadn't had any more diarhhea and was "bright". I haven't been at home for a few hours though.

I really hope your dog is ok. What type of dog do you have and what is the age?

I have left my dog at the ER before too.
