Is there a basic guide that you have?

Well, I deal with a chronic illness, so my daily guide might not be useful to anyone else. But basically, I try to practice good sleep hygiene, take high quality supplements, drink lots of water, mild exercise, page my energy output, and make some kind of spiritual connection on a daily basis. I try to restrict junk food to only a few times a month, and the rest of the time eat nutritious food. I avoid things like coffee, alcohol, and white sugar. Hope that helps!

How basic do you want?

* Eat a balanced, natural, whole food diet.

* Get some exercise.

* Try to get outdoors now and then.

* Make time for relaxation.

* Maintain good sleep hygiene.

I've been trying to develop a holistic philosophy to adopt for myself, so this thread is excellently-timed:

*take a walk every day
*stretch
*a multivitamin a day never hurt anyone
*indulge in moderation, and compensate in moderation
*weigh yourself regularly- 5 lbs can turn into 20 without you even knowing it
*find a competent doctor whom you trust
*see said doctor as soon as you become concerned about something- do not wait
*set a regular sleep schedule and stick to it
*fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes > meat and dairy
*take the stairs. No, not next time, THIS time.
*wear sensible shoes that fit well
*take medication exactly how it is prescribed
*don't smoke. Seriously.
*don't pretend a glass of the vaguely orange-tasting sugar water commonly called "Orange Juice" is helping you

thats a pretty good list bethie. I would add to it with:

* exercise your brain as well as your body (do something that challenges it, not just something you are good at)

* always take a few minutes to just sit and let your body and mind process the day (just let your mind go and dont try to control or analyse your thoughts, just let them come and go). This forms the basis for all types of meditation.

* drink enough fluids (I would say water, but some people just cant stomach large quantities of plain water)

*Excercise three hours a day when I have time
*Avoid all fast food and junk food
*Avoid red meat
* Drink plenty of water
* Eat food high in protein
*be active in a sport of some type, that is boxing and MMA for me right.
* Have fun while excercising, spice up excercise routine from time to time.

* Play to your strengths. Spend time practicing and engaging in your special interests. Improve on the stuff you're already good at. Don't try to improve upon [most] weaknesses - that's what you had to do during schoolage years. Delegate to others tasks that you're not good at.

*Adopt a positive mindset rather than a negative one. Look for the good points in day-to-day experiences. If something didn't go as well as you'd hoped, reflet and find the positives of the situation.
