I would like to try and find out more before I consider having an assessment.
I have read "Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night". I don't know if that is a good book. But I would like to read some non-fiction which I can learn from.

The most informative books I read on it (just recently discovered that I might have it):

The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome by Tony Attwood
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1843106698

and

Asperger's From the Inside Out: A Supportive and Practical Guide for Anyone with Asperger's Syndrome by Micheal John Carly
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0399533974

The most amusing (in a good way) was:
Atypical: Life with Asperger's in 20 1/3 Chapters by Jesse Saperstein
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003WUYRN6

I'm reading a book right now called "Solutions for Adults with Asperger Syndrome" by Juanita P. Lovett.

I like that it's all about adult issues. It talks about various coping techniques. Although I do think they talk about getting professional help a bit too much. It's still pretty useful, though.

I lose track of time but I think it was over a year ago that I read a book called "Martian in the playground" which was the first time I had ever heard of Asperger's and I knew half way down the first page I was an aspie too.

Be Different: Adventures of a Free-Range Aspergian is a pretty good book that explains what life is like for an adult aspie. There's even mention of WP towards the end. Author's name is John Robison.

I've enjoyed A Field Guide To Earthlings by Ian Ford (you can read the first 20 pages online at http://www.afieldguidetoearthlings.com/) and a fasinating non-Asperger's book called The Brain That Changes Itself by Norman Doidge (www.normandoidge.com)
