All the time I am so used to turning off all the lights in the house so when I walk through the kitchen I turn off the light without knowing someone is in the kitchen. Is this an issue for other WPers?

I used to accidentally turn off the bathroom light when someone was taking a shower, but I stopped doing that many years ago. I was also dog/house sitting for a neighbor recently and turned off their lights, but it turned out I wasn't supposed to do that, if that counts.

I've done that many times.

Yup. My girlfriend hates when I turn out the last of the lights at night before she has had a chance to put her glasses away.

Yes, I also turn lights out without looking to see if anyone is in the room. Did it the other night at dinner as I was getting up to put my plate in the sink (I was the first to finish eating, and everyone else was grabbing seconds).

Yes I've done that to my sister a few times

I thought I was only one who did this!

I only do it because the electric bill is so high and my roommate always leaves all the lights on!

Doesn't everyone make this mistake? I go on autopilot sometimes and sometimes I will turn off the light while my husband is showering and he sure gets my attention and I turn it back on. I have turned off the bedroom light too while he was still up.

But yes I have done this too. Just an innocent mistake.

I've done it a couple of times. How awkward.

Don't know, because the only person besides me in my kitchen would be a burglar or ax murderer. Am I gonna be sued by his union for interfering with his abiliity to work?

I do this all the time. I usually pretend it was a joke afterwards. I thought it was down to years of smoking cannabis, not being an aspie.

I've done this occasionally but not frequently. I usually leave light switches alone unless I need light.

I know someone who turns off lights on purpose.
